Spring 2013 in Baltimore means the 14th iteration of FlowerMart. On Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th, 2013, both days from 11AM - 8PM, flowers, fun and food will abound again in Mt. Vernon plaza around the Washington Monument.
Over 100 vendors will sell their wares or display information about their causes to the public. A tremendous array of flowers, plants, accessories, arts and crafts, non-profit literature and wellness services will be available. In addition, we have arranged a colorful palette of varied entertainment for your enjoyment on two stages, including rock and roll and country bands, vocalists and several kinds of dancing, some with audience participation! On Saturday, the West Park will host a special Children’s Camp from noon to 5PM. Kids will be able to make origami animals, Mother’s Day cards and more, plus the Urban Pirates will hold storytime.

This wacky race involves human-powered machines designed to travel on land, mud and in the harbor. Kinetinauts compete for the coveted Mediocre Award (finishing right smack in the middle) and Next-to-the-Last Award. Get out and cheer for your favorite contraption.
Festival takes place in downtown Towson, from York Road to Bosley Avenue and from Susquehanna Avenue to Allegheny Avenue.
Expect plenty of music and other performances, vendors offering all sorts of food and goods and a rare chance to stroll through central Towson without having to dodge traffic.
